THAP TERRACOTTA

Handcrafted clay with controlled technical properties.

THAP prepares a special clay composition from selected raw materials and forms every vessel by hand. Each amphora is dried slowly, fired in a kiln and individually checked for consistent porosity and integrity.

  • Food-contact compliant, chemically inert terracotta
  • Approximately 2.5% porosity for moderate micro-oxidation
  • Suitable for fermentation and ageing without oak-derived flavour
  • Easy cleaning and alternating use for red and white wine
